This year our report highlights AGALI’s advocacy trainings and our grantmaking work in Guatemala and Malawi Liberia and Honduras as well as our media coverage and making of our film about child marriage: Lifting Our Voices: Ending Child Marriage in Malawi.

Girls Ask For More Support
GUATEMALA - Working with IDEI, an AGALI funded organization in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, adolescent girls promote a girl and participation focused agenda. Through a project called “the democratic participation of adolescent girls for the execution of a comprehensive public policy,” the girls hope to garner support from municipal leaders on a variety issues ranging from sexual and reproductive health, to education and domestic violence. – October 2010

HONDURAS – After attending an AGALI workshop which focused on advocacy strategies for adolescent sexual and reproductive health, the participating organizations formed a coalition focusing on national advocacy. – February 2010

HONDURAS -18 organizations from civil society and governmental sectors have developed an advocacy plan to support reproductive rights for adolescent girls in Honduras.
